[07-16-2026] Orange County, CA – Driver Injured After Metal Pipes Fly Through Car Window in Two-Vehicle Crash in Santa Ana

A driver sustained minor injuries after metal pipes flew through a car window during a two-vehicle crash in Santa Ana on Thursday, July 16, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a white pickup truck carrying unsecured metal pipes collided with the rear of a gray sedan. The impact caused the pipes to be propelled through the sedan’s rear window.

Officials said no serious injuries occurred, but the driver of the truck could have faced manslaughter charges if the collision had been fatal.
