[07-17-2026] Tulare County, CA – Two Killed in Head-On Collision on Road 236

Two people were killed in a two-vehicle head-on crash on Road 236 in Tulare County on Friday night, July 17, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded to the incident at around 9:45 p.m., just south of the intersection with Avenue 104. 

A 29-year-old Porterville man was driving a 2001 Ram 1500 northbound when the vehicle drifted across solid double yellow lines into the southbound lane, directly in the path of a 55-year-old Terra Bella woman driving a 2004 Ford Fusion.

The Ram collided with the left front side of the Ford, causing the Ram to overturn and eject the driver. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.

The identities of the victims have not been officially released. The investigation remains ongoing.
