A woman was killed and a man injured after a rollover crash involving a Jeep in the desert terrain near Indio on Saturday night, July 19, 2025.
According to the Indio Police Department, officers responded around 9:10 p.m. to an area southwest of Dillon Road and west of Fargo Canyon Road.
A 2023 Jeep Wrangler was reportedly traveling through the desert at an unknown speed when it rolled over multiple times.
The 47-year-old female passenger was ejected from the vehicle and suffered life-threatening injuries. She was flown by air ambulance to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, where she later died despite life-saving efforts.
The driver, a 47-year-old man, contacted emergency services and was also taken to the same hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
