[07-20-2024] Two People Killed, Another Injured After Two-Vehicle Head-On Crash Near BakersfieldTwo people were killed, and another was injured after a two-vehicle head-on crash near Bakersfield on Saturday morning, July 20, 2024. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 1:59 a.m. on Buena Vista Boulevard, west of Adobe Road. 

Authorities stated that a 52-year-old man in a Chevrolet Tahoe was driving eastbound on Buena Vista Boulevard. Meanwhile, a 45-year-old man was driving a Chevrolet Silverado westbound when it collided head-on with the Tahoe. Both drivers sustained major injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. 

Another person, identified as a 39-year-old man, suffered unknown injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment. The man appeared to be the passenger of the Tahoe. As of this writing, there is no word yet on his current condition. 

It is unknown what caused the collision. Additional details regarding the incident have yet to be disclosed.
