An elderly woman was killed after being struck by a pickup truck in a parking structure in Chula Vista on Tuesday morning, July 22, 2025.
According to the Chula Vista Police Department, the incident occurred shortly after 11:30 a.m. in a structure located in the 300 block of H Street. Authorities said the truck was rounding a corner in the building when it struck the pedestrian.
Paramedics transported the woman to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Police described the victim as being in her 80s. Her identity has not been released pending notification of her family.
Investigators stated that drugs, alcohol, and excessive speed are not believed to be contributing factors.
The crash remains under investigation.
