[07-23-2026] San Diego County, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash Causes Delays on Eastbound SR-94

A multi-vehicle crash caused significant traffic delays on eastbound State Route 94 in San Diego on Thursday afternoon, July 23, 2026.

According to Caltrans, the collision was reported around 4:20 p.m. and resulted in all eastbound lanes being closed at Federal Boulevard. Traffic backed up to 25th Street while crews responded to the scene.

Officials later reopened the left two lanes around 5:45 p.m., while the remaining lanes stayed closed as crews continued working. All eastbound lanes were reopened by approximately 6:22 p.m.

Details regarding the vehicles involved, injuries, and the cause of the crash have not been released.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
