A woman was injured in a hit-and-run crash while jogging near the intersection of Friant Road and Audubon Drive in Fresno on Thursday afternoon, July 24, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol and statements from the victim, Ruth S., she was stopped at the intersection near Woodward Park when a tan Porsche, reportedly traveling at a high speed, failed to stop and struck her leg. Ruth stated the driver appeared distracted and was looking at a phone when the impact occurred.
Following the crash, the driver fled the scene. Ruth attempted to flag down a police officer nearby but was not acknowledged. She later contacted Fresno Police and filed a report.
Video footage from a privately owned camera in the area helped Ruth identify the vehicle’s license plate. Fresno Police confirmed the case is under investigation and is being handled as a misdemeanor hit-and-run. The video footage has been shared with detectives.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
