Two people were injured in a head-on collision on Highway 74 south of Lake Hemet, near Anza, Riverside County, on Thursday, July 23, 2025.
According to CAL FIRE, the crash involved two vehicles, and one of the injured individuals was trapped inside a vehicle.
Firefighters were able to extricate the person, who, along with the second victim, sustained moderate injuries. One person was transported by ambulance, while the other was airlifted by helicopter to a local trauma center for further treatment.
The California Highway Patrol’s Indio Station is handling the investigation into the crash.
