[07-25-2026] El Dorado County, CA – Highway 50 Closed After Collision Involving Box Truck on Ice House Rd.

A collision involving a Toyota 4Runner and an Amazon box truck caused a closure of Highway 50 in El Dorado County on Saturday morning, July 25, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 7:35 a.m. at Ice House Road.

Authorities closed Highway 50 in both directions from Meyers to Riverton due to a commercial vehicle hazardous materials incident.

Highway 50 was reopened in both directions by Saturday afternoon, according to the CHP.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
