[07-27-2026] Riverside County, CA – Motorcyclist Dies After Collision With Van in Homeland

A 28-year-old motorcyclist died after a collision with a minivan in Homeland, Riverside County, on Monday afternoon, July 27, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at around 4:22 p.m. in the 31500 block of McWade Avenue near Ritter Avenue, approximately a quarter mile south of Highway 74.

Authorities said a Dodge van and a motorcycle collided, causing the rider to be thrown into the middle of the roadway. Riverside County Fire Department paramedics arrived and found the motorcyclist in cardiac arrest. Emergency crews performed life-saving measures and transported him to Riverside University Health System Medical Center in Moreno Valley in critical condition.

The motorcyclist was later identified as 28-year-old Samuel M. of Homeland. He was pronounced dead at the hospital approximately one hour after the crash.

The van driver was not injured, remained at the scene, and cooperated with investigators. 

The CHP continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
