[07-28-2026] Fresno County, CA – Two Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash at Maple and Butler Ave.

Two people were hospitalized following a three-vehicle collision in southeast Fresno on Tuesday evening, July 28, 2026.

According to the Fresno Police Department, the crash occurred at the intersection of Maple and Butler avenues. 

Investigators said two vehicles were traveling along Butler Avenue when a third vehicle traveling south on Maple Avenue allegedly ran a red light and collided with them.

The driver of the third vehicle became trapped in the wreckage and was rescued by emergency responders. Two people were transported to a hospital for treatment, and authorities said they are expected to recover.

Police said drugs and alcohol are not believed to have been contributing factors in the collision.

The investigation is ongoing.
