[07-28-2026] San Bernardino County, CA – One Killed, Two Injured in Rollover Crash in Newberry Springs

A man was killed, and two women were injured in a solo-vehicle rollover crash in Newberry Springs, San Bernardino County, on Tuesday afternoon, July 28, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at around 12:06 p.m. on southbound Interstate 15 north of Harvard Road.

Investigators said an unidentified man was driving a Toyota Avalon with two unidentified female passengers when the vehicle veered onto the right shoulder, left the roadway, and overturned.

The driver sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel. The two passengers were injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities have not released the identities of those involved pending positive identification and notification of next of kin.

CHP officials said alcohol and drugs are not believed to have been factors in the collision. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact Officer A. Perla of the CHP Barstow Area office.

The investigation is ongoing.
