[07-30-2024] Fresno County, CA – 23-Year-Old Male Rider Killed Following Motorcycle Vs. Pickup Truck Collision Along Manning Avenue

A 23-year-old male rider was killed following a motorcycle vs. pickup truck collision in Fresno County on Tuesday afternoon, July 30, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident happened around 5:13 p.m. at the intersection of Manning Avenue and Smith Avenue, east of Parlier.

CHP said that a Yamaha R6 motorcycle driven by a 23-year-old Reedley man was going east on Manning Avenue and toward Smith Avenue. At the same time, a Nissan Frontier pickup truck driven by another Reedley man was traveling west on Manning Avenue and was about to make a U-turn.

For some reason, the motorcycle slammed into the right side of the turning pickup truck, causing significant injuries and considerable damage to both vehicles. The impact of the crash reportedly threw the motorcyclist away from his ride and into the ground. His Yamaha R6 then became disabled along the roadway’s eastbound lanes.

The responding officials rushed the male rider to a hospital in Reedley. He was pronounced dead shortly after. The pickup truck driver was not harmed, says the CHP.

The official cause of the accident is still under investigation. Authorities have since ruled out the possibility of alcohol or drug impairment as a factor.

An investigation is ongoing.

The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
