One person was killed in a multi-vehicle crash involving two tractor-trailers and a Toyota truck on Interstate 205 in Tracy on Saturday morning, August 2, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 6:05 a.m. on eastbound I-205 just east of MacArthur Drive.
Investigators said the Toyota truck veered across the freeway toward the right-hand shoulder and struck the rear of a disabled semi-truck trailer.
A passenger in the Toyota was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been released.
CHP stated that drugs or alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash.
Authorities continue to investigate the collision.
