A 13-year-old boy was hospitalized with major injuries after being struck by an SUV while riding his bicycle in Antioch on Monday evening, August 4, 2025.
According to the Antioch Police Department, officers witnessed the crash around 6:46 p.m. at the intersection of Lone Tree Way and Muirwood Drive.
The child was knocked unconscious by the collision, and officers provided immediate medical aid. The boy was then life-flighted to a nearby hospital, where he is listed in critical but stable condition.
The 24-year-old driver of the Nissan Pathfinder remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Police confirmed that the driver was not speeding, and there is no indication that drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash.
