[08-04-2026] Riverside County, CA – Motorcyclist Killed, Another Rider Seriously Injured in Crash on I-215 in Perris

A 40-year-old motorcyclist was killed, and another rider was seriously injured in a two-motorcycle collision in Perris on Tuesday night, August 4, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred shortly before 10 p.m. on northbound Interstate 215, south of the Harley Knox Boulevard off-ramp. 

Investigators said a 1997 Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a 2006 Suzuki GSXR collided for reasons that remain under investigation, causing both riders to lose control and be ejected from their motorcycles.

Authorities identified the Harley-Davidson rider as 40-year-old Daniel B. of Perris. After coming to rest on the left shoulder, Daniel was struck by a 2017 Toyota Camry. He was transported to Riverside University Health System Medical Center with major injuries and later died. 

The Suzuki rider sustained major injuries and was taken to a local hospital. Officials said it is not yet known whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision.

The investigation remains ongoing.
