[08-06-2024] San Bernardino County, CA – Female Bicyclist Airlifted After Hit-and-Run Collision in Victorville

A female bicyclist was airlifted after being involved in a hit-and-run crash on Tuesday afternoon, August 6, 2024, in Victorville.

According to the Victorville Police Department, the incident occurred at about 2:14 p.m. in the 17100 block of D Street, near Emma Jean’s Holland Burger Cafe.

Deputies responded to a hit-and-run traffic collision involving an unspecified vehicle and a bicycle. Preliminary information indicates that the victim was riding her bike south on D Street when an unknown vehicle clipped her, and immediately fled the scene.

Victorville City Fire Department was called to the scene and requested a medical helicopter. The victim was transported to Victor Valley Global Medical Center via ambulance and subsequently airlifted to a trauma center for further treatment. The name, age, and current status of the victim were not immediately available.

Authorities have yet to release an official description of the suspect vehicle and its driver. Currently, no arrests have been announced. The investigation into the accident continues.
