A two-vehicle crash caused major traffic delays on Highway 17 in Santa Cruz on Thursday morning, August 14, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on the northbound side of the highway south of Pasatiempo Drive.
All lanes were initially closed, backing up traffic to northbound Highway 1 at Soquel Drive. The road has since been reopened.
CHP said minor injuries were reported in the crash. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
