[08-14-2026] San Bernardino County, CA – One Killed, Two Hospitalized in Rollover Crash Near Twentynine Palms

One man was killed, and two other people were hospitalized following a single-vehicle rollover crash east of Twentynine Palms, San Bernardino County, on Friday evening, August 14, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported around 8 p.m. on Twentynine Palms Highway near mile marker 73.5, east of Twentynine Palms near the Sheephole Valley Wilderness.

CHP said a Honda Accord carrying three people made an unsafe turn and overturned before coming to rest on its wheels. The driver was trapped inside the vehicle.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by Morongo Basin Ambulance. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Coroner Division identified him as 39-year-old Irvine resident Rohan K.

Two other occupants were transported to Desert Regional Medical Center. Information about the extent of their injuries was not immediately available.

The circumstances surrounding the fatal rollover crash remain under investigation.
