A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on southbound State Highway 242 in Concord early Friday morning, August 15, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 4:10 a.m. near the Grant Street exit.
Preliminary reports indicated the motorcycle spun out and wobbled before being struck by another vehicle. The rider, whose identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
