Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 101 north of Buellton in Santa Barbara County on Saturday morning, August 15, 2026.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, emergency crews responded around 11:12 a.m. to southbound Highway 101 at Jonata Park Road.
Firefighters found three people involved in the collision. At least one person required extrication from a vehicle.
Two people from one vehicle were transported to a local hospital. One sustained major injuries, while the other suffered minor injuries. A County Air Support Unit helicopter landed nearby to assist with transporting the critically injured patient.
The driver of the other vehicle declined medical treatment.
California Highway Patrol officers from the Buellton area continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
