A pedestrian was hospitalized with major injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Oildale, Kern County, on Sunday night, August 17, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 8:47 p.m. at the intersection of North Chester Avenue and Roberts Lane.
Investigators said a Toyota pickup truck collided with a 42-year-old man. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
The pedestrian was transported to Kern Medical with major head trauma.
The incident remains under investigation.
