Multiple injuries were reported following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 20 in Lucerne, Lake County on Sunday afternoon, August 18, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 20 and 12th Avenue. A Cadillac and a Jaguar collided as the Cadillac attempted to make a turn.
Emergency responders requested two air ambulances to transport victims out of the county. One air ambulance responded to Sutter Lakeside, while the other landed at Ceago Vinegarden.
One of the victims, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained injuries after hitting the windshield, according to CHP Officer Efrain Cortez. Other victims at the scene suffered minor injuries, including cuts.
