[08-22-2026] San Diego County, CA – Juvenile Seriously Injured in Two-Vehicle Rollover Crash in San Marcos

A juvenile suffered severe injuries in a two-vehicle rollover crash in San Marcos on Saturday night, August 22, 2026.

According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded shortly before 10 p.m. to San Marcos Market in the 200 block of West Mission Road after receiving a report of an overturned vehicle that had crashed into the front of the business.

Authorities said two vehicles were involved. Four juveniles were inside the overturned vehicle, while two adults occupied the second vehicle.

One juvenile sustained a severe injury and was transported by ambulance to a trauma center for treatment. The other juveniles suffered minor injuries and were either treated at the scene or transported to a hospital. The two adults in the second vehicle were treated for minor injuries at the scene.

The driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with deputies. Authorities said drugs and alcohol were not suspected to be contributing factors in the collision.

The San Marcos Sheriff’s Station Traffic Unit continues to investigate the crash.
