A 45-year-old man from Sanger was killed in a collision involving a car and a semi-truck in southeastern Fresno County on Monday afternoon, August 25, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at about 1:15 p.m. near North and Temperance avenues.
Authorities said a Hyundai Elantra was traveling westbound on North Avenue when the driver attempted a left turn into the path of an eastbound Freightliner tractor-trailer. The impact pushed both vehicles into an orange orchard at the corner of the intersection.
The driver of the Hyundai, identified as Diego M., was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
CHP confirmed that alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
