Two big rigs collided on a stretch of southbound Interstate 5 in Merced County on Tuesday afternoon, August 26, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 2:20 p.m. near Canyon Road. Crews closed the southbound slow lane while working to clear the area.
