[08-26-2025] Motorcyclist Killed, Two Others Injured in Separate Crashes on Benicia-Martinez BridgeA 22-year-old motorcyclist was killed and two other people were injured in separate collisions on the Benicia-Martinez Bridge in Solano County, Tuesday morning, August 26, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the first crash involved four vehicles just north of the Marina Vista exit at approximately 7:51 a.m. Two people were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Seven minutes later and about a quarter mile further north on the bridge, the motorcyclist “went down,” striking a vehicle in one lane before being thrown into another lane and run over by a separate vehicle. CHP stated that preliminary investigations do not indicate speeding or reckless driving as factors.

The southbound lanes of the bridge were closed for several hours, reopening around 10:30 a.m., causing significant traffic delays.

Authorities continue to investigate both incidents.
