A motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash involving a dump truck in Davis on Tuesday morning, August 26, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported at about 4:49 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 80, just east of the Mace Boulevard on-ramp.
Authorities confirmed that a dump truck fled the scene after colliding with the motorcycle. A fatality was reported, though the identity of the victim has not yet been released.
CHP officers are actively searching for the truck involved in the crash.
