A woman riding a scooter was struck and killed by a box truck in East Sacramento on Thursday morning, August 29, 2024.
The crash occurred shortly after 10:30 a.m. in the area of Alhambra Boulevard, where Capitol Avenue turns into Folsom Boulevard, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
As a result of the crash, Alhambra Boulevard was closed from Capitol Avenue to L Street but has since reopened.
