At least one pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Weedpatch Highway at Wharton Avenue in Lamont, Kern County, on Friday night, August 29, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported shortly after 9:00 p.m. Authorities said the collision impacted all southbound lanes of the highway as emergency personnel responded.
The cause of the crash is currently unknown. CHP has not released additional details regarding the pedestrian’s condition.
