A bicyclist died Saturday after being critically injured in a collision with a pickup truck at the intersection of Highway 35 and Highway 84 in Woodside, San Mateo County, on Friday afternoon, August 29, 2025.
According to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. Emergency responders, including Cal Fire, American Medical Response, and Life Flight, provided medical aid at the scene before transporting the bicyclist to Stanford Medical Center by air ambulance. The bicyclist was alive at the time of transport but later succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.
Authorities said the driver of the pickup truck is cooperating with the investigation. The Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
The San Mateo County Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the collision.
