A motorcyclist was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 155 near Rancheria Road in Bakersfield on Saturday afternoon, August 30, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers received reports of the collision around 1:16 p.m. on the westbound side of Highway 155 just west of Rancheria Road.
When CHP units arrived, they found the rider lying in the roadway. Emergency personnel airlifted the motorcyclist to Kern Medical for treatment.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Authorities have not yet indicated whether alcohol or speed was a factor in the collision.
