Multiple people sustained major injuries in a multi-vehicle collision on Frazier Mountain Park Road near Arroyo Trail in Bakersfield on Sunday afternoon, August 31, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported just before 2:30 p.m. CHP units responded to the roadway to find a white Chevrolet Trailblazer and a silver Toyota Prius involved in the incident.
Authorities said one vehicle was found overturned with at least one person trapped inside. The driver of the Toyota Prius was reportedly lying on the ground on the right-hand side of the road. Firefighters and medical personnel arrived to provide emergency care, and additional towing services were requested to clear the scene.
CHP confirmed that several people sustained major injuries. The roadway was temporarily blocked while responders assisted the injured and cleared the vehicles.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
