A skateboarder died after being hit by a car in Carmichael, Sacramento County, on Monday evening, September 2, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on westbound Fair Oaks Boulevard near Marshall Avenue.
CHP reports that a Chevrolet Suburban was traveling in the #2 lane when the driver collided with a pedestrian riding a skateboard in the same direction.
The skateboarder was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
The CHP stated that DUI was not suspected in the crash, and the cause remains under investigation.
