[09-03-2024] Fresno County, CA – One Killed, Four Hospitalized After Collision Involving Semi-Truck Near Riverdale

A man was killed, and a woman and three children were rushed to a hospital following a collision involving a semi-truck near Riverdale, Fresno County, on Tuesday evening, September 3, 2024.

According to investigators, the crash occurred just before 6:00 p.m. at the intersection of Marks and Excelsior.

A pickup truck stopped at a stop sign and then entered the path of a semi-truck. The male driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman and three children, aged four to ten, were taken to a nearby hospital. Authorities confirmed that all four are expected to survive. The semi-truck driver was unharmed.

PG&E is working to repair power poles damaged in the crash. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
