50-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run collision on Morena Boulevard in the Bay Park neighborhood of San Diego on Friday morning, September 5, 2025.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash occurred around 4:20 a.m. The victim was pushing a shopping cart in the No. 2 lane of the 3000 block of Morena Boulevard when she was struck by a northbound vehicle.
A passerby reported seeing the woman lying in the street. She was rendered unconscious with open fractures to both shins and was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police said the vehicle fled the scene, and there were no witnesses or description of the vehicle at the time. Authorities are actively investigating the collision.
