A 73-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a Ford van in Auburn on Thursday night, September 12, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 8:17 p.m. at Edgewood Road, east of Blitz Lane.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and attempted life-saving measures, but the woman, a resident of Orangevale, was pronounced dead at Sutter Roseville Medical Center.
The CHP Auburn office is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
