A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run collision on Interstate 880 in East Oakland on Friday evening, September 18, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at around 8:15 p.m. on northbound Interstate 880, just south of 29th Avenue.
CHP did not immediately provide information about the victim’s age or gender. Authorities also did not release a description of the vehicle involved.
