[09-18-2026] San Bernardino County, CA – Man Airlifted After Three-Vehicle Crash in Phelan

A man in his mid-40s was injured and airlifted to a hospital after a three-vehicle crash in Phelan, San Bernardino County, on Friday evening, September 18, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at around 7:44 p.m. on Wilson Ranch Road near Avenal Street.

CHP incident logs indicated that three vehicles were involved, including a sedan that overturned onto its roof. The man was trapped inside the overturned vehicle and reportedly suffered a head laceration with significant bleeding.

San Bernardino County Fire personnel responded to the scene and extricated the man from the vehicle. Firefighters requested an air ambulance to transport the injured patient.

Mercy Air 2 landed near the crash site and airlifted the man to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. No further information about his condition was immediately available.

The California Highway Patrol’s Victorville station continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
