A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in West San Jose on Thursday night, September 19, 2024.
The fatal collision occurred just after 8:00 p.m. at the intersection of Stevens Creek Boulevard and Hanson Avenue, as reported by the San Jose Police Department.
The pedestrian, identified only as a woman, was taken to a nearby hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office will release the woman’s identity once it is confirmed and her next of kin has been notified.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation, police said.
