A woman was injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver while walking her dog in Oakland’s Upper Rockridge neighborhood on Friday evening, September 19, 2025.
According to reports, the collision occurred just after 6:00 p.m. near Hermosa and Florence Avenues.
Video footage shows a white Prius running a stop sign and hitting the woman as she crossed in a marked crosswalk. The driver briefly stopped but then sped away.
The victim, identified as Angela U., was transported to Highland Hospital’s trauma center, where she was treated for a concussion, a broken fibula, scrapes, and bruises. Authorities have not released further information regarding the driver.
Authorities continue to investigate the hit-and-run collision.
