[09-21-2025] SUV Crashes Into Power Pole at Highway 20 and Ogden Road in Lucerne, Causing Power OutageA vehicle crash involving an SUV and a power pole occurred at Highway 20 and Ogden Road in Lucerne, Lake County, late Sunday night, September 21, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, two women were in the vehicle. The crash happened shortly before 11:20 p.m., and power went out at 11:17 p.m., according to Pacific Gas and Electric. Fire units reported downed power lines, and a hard closure of the roadway was established while PG&E worked on repairs.

PG&E initially reported 3,212 customers without power, which decreased to 1,461 within an hour. By shortly before 2:00 a.m., 184 customers remained without power, with restoration expected by 6:30 a.m. Monday. Authorities have not released information on any injuries.
