A 4-year-old child was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Corona on Tuesday afternoon, September 22, 2026.
According to the Corona Police Department, officers responded at around 2:37 p.m. to the 1400 block of Pleasant View Avenue.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the child was standing in the roadway when an approaching vehicle struck them. Police said the child’s family members were nearby, attending to a vehicle parked along the street when the incident occurred.
The child was transported to a hospital but later died from their injuries. Authorities did not immediately release the child’s identity or gender.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The Corona Police Department’s Collision Response Team continues to investigate the incident.
