A rider died after a motorcycle vs. vehicle crash in Chula Vista on early Sunday morning, September 29, 2024.
The Chula Vista Police reported that the collision occurred around 2:42 a.m. in the area of Olympic and Hunte Parkways.
Upon arrival, officers found that a motorcyclist had broadsided a vehicle at the intersection. Despite first aid being administered at the scene, the motorcyclist, a 45-year-old man from Chula Vista, was pronounced dead shortly after.
The driver of the vehicle, a 27-year-old man from San Diego, stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation, police said.
The identities of both individuals involved in the crash are being withheld pending notification of their families.
Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the collision.
