A 62-year-old motorcyclist died in a collision on South Mountain Road east of Santa Paula on Sunday morning, September 29, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred shortly before 10:00 a.m.
Authorities stated that the man from Simi Valley was riding a 2009 Suzuki motorcycle westbound on South Mountain Road when he crossed over double yellow lines and collided with a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee heading eastbound near Balcom Canyon Road.
The motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries at the scene, while the 33-year-old woman driving the Jeep was unharmed and stayed on-site to cooperate with authorities.
