A man, Eric T., was killed after being struck by a vehicle off Airport Drive in Oildale, Kern County, on Saturday morning, October 4, 2025.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, officers were dispatched around 12:30 a.m. to the collision north of State Road.
Medical personnel arrived to treat Eric, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police reported that the driver was traveling northbound, approaching a signal at State Road just under the Golden State Highway overpass when Truman ran into the roadway.
BPD stated that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash, and the driver remained on scene, cooperating with authorities.
