A tragic rollover crash claimed the life of a 20-year-old passenger and injured the driver in San Luis Obispo on Saturday morning, October 5, 2024.
At around 11:08 a.m., emergency responders were dispatched to 1690 O’Connor Way, where a 21-year-old driver in a 2016 Ford Focus lost control, causing the vehicle to hit an embankment, overturn, and become airborne.
The driver sustained minor injuries, while the passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the San Luis Obispo California Highway Patrol, neither drugs nor alcohol are suspected as factors in the crash.
CHP is actively investigating the incident to determine the cause.
