A woman was killed in a road rage incident that led to a multi-vehicle collision in Santa Rosa on Saturday afternoon, October 5, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 2:00 p.m. on Stony Point Road near Rohnert Park Expressway.
Authorities stated that when a Mazda driver reportedly rammed the back of a Volkswagen multiple times, causing it to veer into oncoming traffic. An uninvolved Mercedes then collided with the Volkswagen, killing a female passenger and injuring a man and a child in the vehicle.
Both the driver and a passenger in the Mercedes also sustained major injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
