A bicyclist was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Palm Springs on Monday night, October 5, 2026.
According to the Palm Springs Police Department, officers responded at around 8:30 p.m. to East Palm Canyon Drive near Cherokee Way.
Police said their investigation indicates that a vehicle traveling eastbound on East Palm Canyon Drive collided with the bicyclist.
The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are withholding the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police said impairment has not been identified as a factor in the collision.
Investigators continue to review available evidence and seek video footage from the surrounding area as the investigation remains ongoing.
