[10-06-2025] Motorcyclist Killed in Head-On Collision with Chevy Silverado on Pacific Coast Highway South of Mugu RockA 35-year-old woman from Port Hueneme was killed in a motorcycle crash on a blind curve along Pacific Coast Highway south of Mugu Rock in Ventura County, on Monday afternoon, October 6, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist was riding a 2002 Harley-Davidson northbound shortly before 5:45 p.m. when she crossed over the solid double-yellow lines and collided head-on with a southbound 2020 Chevy Silverado driven by a 47-year-old man from Los Angeles. 

The impact ejected the rider into the roadway. First responders arrived within minutes, but the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her name has not been released.

CHP noted that alcohol may have been a factor in the collision, with toxicology results pending. The driver of the Chevy Silverado and his two passengers were uninjured. Pacific Coast Highway was closed for approximately three-and-a-half hours and reopened around 9:15 p.m.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
